First, allow me to thank you for stopping by!
This blog is inspired by my own lifelong struggles with depression and anxiety and the struggles of those around me. Over the years I have striven to learn all I could about the ins and outs of my own brain, only to discover that the information was scattered, complicated, and sometimes you could only find it if you already knew what you were looking for. With those roadblocks, I realized it was no small wonder that so many struggle to understand their condition, much less help it!
So! I resolved to create a resource center of all the things I’ve learned, and continue to learn.
Why the name NeuroMythologica? Well, it all has to do with the structure of the blog. You’ll find a more in-depth understanding as we go along through the posts, but in summary, I hope to bring multiple disciplines together, Neurologic and Psychologic studies, along with Philosophy, and Mythology together to form a comprehensive web of why we are the way we are. These aren’t just my own ideas, but the ideas of many who have come before me, and many who study alongside me.
The latest post will always be found under The Archives. The categories are for those wishing to read up on a specific subject.
If you are a dreamer, come in.
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer . . .
If you’re a pretender, come sit by my fire,
For we have some flax golden tales to spin.
